The beach is accessed by a short walk along an improved trail through diverse flora such as Poison Apple trees and Mangroves. A small lagoon near the beach is often frequented by Flamingos and the white sand beach is ideal for swimming, snorkeling and relaxing. You can choose to add kayaking in the protected bay to this private guided tour or make it a taxi supported self-guided mountain bike tour if you're so inclined. Location & Geography: Garrapatero Beach is located in a protected cove on the south-eastern coast of Santa Cruz Island. The white sand beach is surrounded by Mangrove trees and accentuated by black volcanic rock formations.
Marine Life: Reef and Pelagic Fish, Sea Turtles, Rays, Sally Light-foot crabs and more.
Terrestrial Wildlife: Marine Iguanas, Flamingos, Frigate Birds, Pelicans, Blue-Footed Boobies and other bird life.
