Isla Lobos/Ochoa Beach Day Tour
Isla Lobos is a small islet located approximate 40 minutes from Puerto Baquerizo Moreno. Is it home to various Galapagos birds, such as Blue-Footed Boobies, Nazca Boobies, and Frigate Birds, as well as a colony of Sea Lions and numerous Marine Iguanas. On this half-day trip you will disembark on the islet for an hour long interpreted walk around the island. Afterwards you will be able to snorkel in the protected bay nearby. Following a lunch onboard you will relocate to Ochoa Beach where you can wander the sand, snorkel some more or relax in the sun.
Tour Highlights and Inclusions:
- View wildlife along the San Cristobol Coast.
- Walk over lava rocks looking for Boobies, Frigate Birds and Marine Iguanas.
- Snorkel with friendly Sea Lions in the protected channel by Isla Lobos.
- View Kicker Rock/Leon Dormido in the distance.
- Snorkel from Ochoa Beach or relax in the sand.
The order of activities are subject to change due to marine conditions.
Moderate to Difficult (due to exposure and trail conditions) :
Unpaved trails with loose lava rock and sand. Dry-landing - boat to stone stairs. Wet-landing - boat to beach. Snorkeling from boat and beach.
